Never had such an absence been seen. Well, that was probably entirely false, but Liam had taken to vacationing all to much lately and his tussle with the Rossum Corporation in San Francisco was unhealthy at best. He remembered nothing of that visit, except he came out of it with the uncanny desire to tote around a box of 300 different colored crayons. When one says different colored, however, they mean that many of the crayons only differ by a minor shade or hue, but they have crafty and creative names like 'Baby Poo Brown' and 'Lettuce Leaf Green.' No one could possible resist the wonderfulness of coloring when the opportunity presented itself. However, Liam could. Alas, in paradoxical juxtaposition, he could also not resist the urge to carry around the heavy box of crayons in his satchel that matched his new overcoat perfectly.
As he was heading up toward his office from the obscure backdoor accessing the dungeons, Liam glanced here and there at the dirty grey brick and the colorful tapestries that attempted to cover up the former. However, one tapestry caught him in particular. The image of a large, leaping unicorn adorned with a particularly sparkly horn mesmerized Liam in an instant. He was caught by the horn and couldn't look away. Instantly, he plopped down in a cross-legged position and pulled out the box of crayons, singing a small song about butterflies to himself.
"Mister Jones will like this drawing, he will. It will be prettier than the rest and he will not punish Bartholomew." Taking out a bright red crayon, he started outlining his image. "Bartholomew will do well. Bartholomew will not have to eat the three week old fried chicken again. He will get fresh turnips with extra mustard if he is good this time." In the mind of the figure sitting on the floor, Liam's body present, the eyes imagined they saw the shiny, talking stars with bright, cheery faces. They spoke to him.
"You can do it, silly pants! Anyone can!" With a smile, he continued drawing, singing a song now about parsnips.
