All data kept on hsom's server shall only be directly accessed for backup or audit purposes by authorised personnel. Audits can be carried out with no notice or warning in response to complaints of rule violations. Passwords are stored in an encrypted format in the database and cannot be retrieved and decoded by anyone for any reason. Should you wish to leave HSOM then all data stored on the server relating to you will be deleted when the Administrators of HSOM are informed of your leaving or in the next membership cull. Under privacy laws you are entitled to:
(a) Request knowledge of what information is stored on you
(b) Request all or parts of your information be removed from our system
(c) Request a copy of all information stored on you. Costs for hard copies (print outs) of information will be imposed for mailing out the hard copies. Soft copies (online/emails) of the data are availiable also and are free of charge.
(d) Update your information at any time
(e) To know that we can only use your information for the purpose for which it was collected, for a directly related purpose, or for a purpose to which you have given your consent. It can also be used without your consent in order to deal with a serious and imminent threat to any person’s health or safety.
(f) To know that your information will never be forwarded on to any other organisations without your consent or a court order requesting the said information
