Intro

Astronomy is a mainly knowledge based subject that involves finding, researching, mapping, and learning about many different types of interstellar objects. We will study anything from stars and comets to planets and asteroids during each term.

Grades

- Students may earn points for their house and galleons for themselves throughout any part of the class.

- There will most likely be homework given at the end of each lesson. Anyone may do the homework any time before the end of term, whether that lesson had ended or not, and hand it in via pm.

- Points and galleons may also be earned by answering questions during class about the subject at hand. This will be based on the difficulty of the question and the professor's opinion.

- There will most likely be an exam at the end of term covering anything gone over during the term. There is also a possibility that there will be things on the exam that you will not know. I suggest that everyone try the exam whether or not you took the course during the year. It's basically free points.

- Professors also may participate in both classes and exams, so dont be shy.
