I hope that even if I'm no longer the Potions Master in our beloved school, this book will still be used by teachers and students to help in teaching/studying Potions.

Even though the Potion is very hard to make and has a low success rate, it still attracted more and more Potions Master to dedicated themselves to be an Alchemist. Only few Alchemist had successfully turn an invaluable item into gold, some wasn't even known because they were afraid that their formula will be stolen from them and because of this, only few of their discoveries were documented. However the most successful discovery in the field of Alchemy was made by Nicholas Flemel and Albus Dumbledore, it was called the Sorcerer's Stone which became very popular and soon became an object of greed.

The Ministry of Magic was alerted by this and they had made a law forbidding anyone except Alchemist appointed by the Ministry of Magic to make gold. The excess gold was then hidden by the Ministry of Magic underground in the muggle world. Muggle soon found out about this and they started mining it which became valuable to them too. Today, there were no known Sorcerer's Stone that exist because the last of it's kind was destroyed when You-Know-Who tried to get it from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
